Lion Group Air Travel Advisory: Let's Plan Ahead for a Smooth and Comfortable Journey

Sep 1, 2025, 14:55 PM by Lion Air Public Relations

J A K A R T A, August 31, 2025 – Holidays, homecoming trips, business travel, or other needs will feel more enjoyable when everything is prepared in advance. Lion Group invites customers to start their air journey in a relaxed manner, without rushing, so that all airport processes run smoothly.

What can you do?

1. Arrive at the Airport Earlier
✈ Domestic: ideally arrive 3 hours before departure.
✈ International: 4 hours before departure.

Arriving earlier means you’ll have more time for check-in/ baggage drop, security screening, and even finishing up work before boarding.

2. Pay Attention to and Find Information About Ground Travel Routes To/From the Airport
✈ Before leaving, make sure you know the fastest route and alternatives to the airport. This is important to avoid delays due to traffic, weather, or other conditions.
✈ Look for information on available transportation modes, such as taxis, ride-hailing, airport buses, or shuttles. Choose the one that best suits your schedule and travel needs.
✈ Upon arrival at your destination airport, make sure you already know the ground transport options to continue your trip, whether to the city center, hotel, or final destination.
✈ Use map apps or airport information services to monitor traffic conditions in real time.

3. Use Online Check-in
✈ With the BookCabin app, you can check in from home, hotel, or office between 11 hours and 30 minutes before departure.
✈ Boarding passes can be stored on your phone—simple and hassle-free, no need to wait in long lines.

4. Prepare Your Travel Documents
✈ Domestic: National ID card (KTP) or other official identification.
✈ International: Passport, visa (if required), and additional documents such as a doctor’s certificate or requirements from the destination country.

Ensure all travel documents are prepared and easily accessible before arriving at the airport.

5. Pack Your Baggage Wisely
✈ Know your Free Baggage Allowance according to your route and airline.
✈ Always carry valuables and important documents in your cabin baggage.

6. Pay Attention to Cabin Baggage Items
✈ For international flights, liquids or gels are limited to 100 ml per container.
✈ Prohibited items such as sharp objects, flammable materials, or spare lithium batteries must not be placed in checked baggage.
✈ Power banks are only allowed in cabin baggage with a maximum capacity of 100 Wh or 20,000 mAh without airline approval. For 100–160 Wh (20,000–32,000 mAh), airline approval is required, limited to two units per passenger. Power banks over 160 Wh are not permitted.

7. Prepare Pre-Book Meals
✈ For departures from Jakarta, customers can order food or drinks before their flight (pre-book meals) via the BookCabin app or the airline’s website www.lionair.co.id, at least 24 hours before departure.
✈ Ordering in advance gives you more menu options, better prices, and meals served directly during the flight.

8. Sales On Board
✈ During the flight, a variety of food, beverages, and airline specialty merchandise are available through the sales on board service.
✈ Purchases can be made using valid cash payment methods onboard.

Lion Group wants every customer to experience a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable journey. The key is preparation—even before you head to the airport.

So, let’s prepare your trip now to make your flight more relaxing!
