A Manifestation of Lion Air’s Commitment to Providing Friendly, Safe, and Inclusive Services for All Pilgrims

PADANG, June 13, 2025 — Lion Air announces its readiness and full support for the return phase of Hajj pilgrims for the 1446 Hijri/2025 period through the Intermediate Hajj Embarkation (EHA) mechanism, specifically for pilgrims from Bengkulu Province.

The return phase from Saudi Arabia has a main debarkation point at Minangkabau International Airport (PDG), Padang, West Sumatra, followed by a domestic flight to Fatmawati Soekarno Airport (BKS), Bengkulu, as part of the EHA scheme.

Lion Air operates Boeing 737-900ER aircraft equipped with comfortable cabin configurations and facilities to support the mobility of elderly pilgrims and persons with disabilities, in line with the 2025 Hajj theme set by the Indonesian Ministry of Religious Affairs: “Elderly- and Disability-Friendly Hajj.”

Return Flight Schedule: Padang – Bengkulu Phase

As part of its operational readiness, Lion Air has carried out technical preparations including:

• Adjustment of aircraft schedules and rotations.
• Intensive coordination with airport authorities and regional Hajj officers.
• Deployment of cabin crew and ground staff trained to provide inclusive, empathetic, and responsive service to the needs of elderly and disabled pilgrims.
• Comprehensive inspection and maintenance of the fleet to ensure smooth flight operations.
