Lion Air Travel Insurance provides coverage for unexpected events such as accidents and travel related inconveniences such as lost of baggage and travel delays. Lion Air Travel Insurance is exclusively designed for Lion Air Passengers in mind and is only available when traveling on Lion Air.
Lion Air Travel Insurance is underwritten by PT. Asuransi Simas Net
At the moment, you can only purchase Lion Air Travel Insurance on www.lionair.co.id for Indonesia-originating flights. Simply add travel insurance to your itinerary while you’re booking your flights online.
Lion Air Travel Insurance through Lion Air Call Centers and Ticketing Offices is coming soon!
Lion Air Travel Insurance is available to Passengers who are:
- 75 years old or below
- Flying out of Indonesia
- Traveling for less than thirty one (31) days
Are you traveling with an infant? Don't worry, infants are covered for free if they are traveling with an insured adult. Please refer to our full terms and conditions to learn more about our free coverage for infants.
Lion Air Travel Insurance is available in two types of plans. A specific plan is offered to you based on the type of ticket you are purchasing.
- Round-trip Plan
This plan is offered if you are flying round-trip on Lion Air and covers you both while you are in transit with Lion Air and during the time spent at your destination.
- One-way Plan
This plan is offered if you are only flying one-way on Lion Air and covers you from the time you check-in to the time you reach your Lion Air destination.

If you require hospital treatment, please make sure you keep original copies of your receipts to ensure easy processing of your claim refund payment.
To file a claim, you can download the Notice of Claim Form online and follow the simple instructions included in the document. For questions about your claim, you can always e-mail us.
Yes, you have to notify PT. Asuransi Simas Net of your claim no later than thirty (30) days after the occurrence of the claimable event. For questions about your claim, you can always e-mail us.
PT. Asuransi Simas Net will process your claims within fourteen (14) working days following the receipt of all necessary documents.
