Founders

 

Rusdi Kirana

Rusdi Kirana is the co-founder of Lion Air, serving as its President Director until 2014.  He continues to be actively involved in the long-term strategic direction of the Lion Group, including Lion Air. Since 2017, he was appointed Indonesia’s ambassador to Malaysia. Rusdi had also served as a member of President Joko Widodo’s Presidential Advisory Counsel and as deputy chairman of the National Awakening Party (Partai Kebangkitan Bangsa).

Kusnan Kirana

Kusnan Kirana is our co-founder and has served as our President Commissioner since 2019. He has been working in the travel industry since 1981 and co-founded Lion Air in 1999. He graduated from the Sekolah Teknik Menengah 1 DKI (vocational technical school) in 1978. He provides strategic advice to the Company and is a commissioner and a director of several of our affiliate companies.

 

 

Directors

 

Rudy Lumingkewas

Rudy Lumingkewas, 50, has served as President Director since 2014. He was previously General Sales Manager responsible for managing the commercial department with responsibility for sales, distribution channels and revenue optimisation. Prior to joining Lion Air in 2001, he was Product Development Head of PT Unibank Tbk and was as their Product Development Head and for PT Metrotama Dunia as their Sales Representative. Rudy Lumingkewas earned his Diploma in Information Management degree and Bachelor of Computer degree from College of Information Management and Computer SWADHARMA in 1997 and 2000, respectively.

Yurnianty Setio

Yurnianty Setio, 51, was appointed Finance Director since 2019.  She was previously Finance General Manager of PT Lion Group where she was responsible for management and leadership of all commercial and financial aspects of the business, budgeting and cash flow forecast and for negotiating the terms of new business contracts. Prior to joining us in 2000, she worked for Tunas Financindo Corporation as their Accounting Manager. Yurnianty Setio earned her associate degree in Accounting from Trisakti Accountancy Academy in 1989.

Mahyuddin Indrawan

Mahyuddin Indrawan, 45, has served as Safety Director since December 2019. He previously served as Chief Training Pilot in 2012 and Chief of Flight Data Analysis since 2013. Prior to joining Lion Air in 2002, he worked for Sempati Air as a pilot. He has undergone Auditor Training by the Bureau Veritas Aerospace Training Center, Investigation Training by INACA Aviation Investigator, Flight Data Analyst by Airbus NAVBlue, as well as, Safety Management System training by Airbus.

I Putu Wijaya

I Putu Wijaya, 48, has served as Operations Director since February 2019. Previously, he was sister airline, Batik Air’s Operations Director. In this role, I Putu is overall responsible for all aircraft operations and directs day-to-day activities of the Operations Directorate. He is also responsible for establishing all operational and training policies, organizational structure, management systems and processes that sustain the long-term corporate strategy.

Prior to joining Lion in 2004, he worked for Directorate Airworthiness and Aircraft Operation, DGCA as Operations Inspector. I Putu Wijaya became a pilot in 1993 after graduating from Pendidikan dan Latihan Penerbangan (PLP), and also has conducted instructor training at the Garuda Training Center and has also received Air Carrier Certification Process training from the DGCA.

Ahmad Romli

Ahmad Romli, 48, was appointed Technical Director in 2018. Previously, he was Engineering Assistant Manager at Lion Group’s subsidiary, BAT and was responsible for managing the build of the Engines, preparing shop visits and instalment into the aircrafts. Ahmad Romli is a specialist for Engine and APU, his responsibilities include troubleshooting and aircraft engine durability.

Prior to joining Lion Air in 2002, he worked for Malaysia Airlines and Duckoo Circuit Technologies in technical and maintenance roles. Ahmad Romli earned his Civil Aviation Training degree from STPI Curug-Tangerang in 1993 and his Borescope Inspector degree from Viat Avio Italy in 2004.

Edward Sirait

Edward Sirait, 56, has served as Director of General Affairs since 2002. He is responsible for Human Resources, Public Relations, Government Relations and supporting day-to-day operations. Prior to joining Lion Air in 2002, he worked for Merpati Nusantara Airlines as their General Manager of Internal Audit. Edward Sirait earned his Management degree from Indonesia Christian University in 1986.
