Umrah from Padang Now Non-Stop!Lion Air Officially Launches Direct Flights to Jeddah
P A D A N G, July 14, 2025 — Lion Air reinforces its commitment to providing comfortable and efficient Umrah services with the launch of direct flights from Minangkabau International Airport, Padang (PDG) to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia (JED). This service officially begins on July 14, 2025, specifically for Umrah pilgrims from West Sumatra and surrounding regions.
The Padang–Jeddah Umrah flights will operate twice a week, using Airbus A330-300CEO and A330-900NEO aircraft. These wide-body aircraft offer a capacity of up to 436 economy seats, with spacious cabins and optimal comfort for long-distance travel.
✈️ First Flight Schedule:
- July 14, 2025 – 12-Day Program Departure at 12:05 WIB, Arrival in Jeddah at 17:25 local time
- July 16, 2025 – 13-Day Program Departure at 15:10 WIB, Arrival in Jeddah at 20:30 local time
Special Amenities for Pilgrims:
- 30 kg checked baggage allowance
- 7 kg cabin baggage allowance
- 5 liters of Zamzam water (distributed upon return)
- Inflight meals: 2 full meals and 1 snack, plus a blanket
This route is a strategic option as it removes the need for transit in other cities, making the journey shorter, safer, and more convenient, especially for elderly pilgrims or those seeking a more practical departure from their hometown.
