L U W U K, 14 October 2026. Wings Air and Batik Air announce the cancellation of several flights to and from Syukuran Aminuddin Amir Airport, Luwuk, Central Sulawesi, on Wednesday, 14 October 2026, due to adverse weather conditions involving haze that has reduced visibility around the airport.

Haze limits visibility, making it more difficult for pilots to see the runway and its surroundings, particularly during landing and takeoff. This is an important consideration, as every flight must meet safety requirements, including adequate visibility to support safe landings and departures.

Under these conditions, cancelling flights is an appropriate measure to prioritize the safety of passengers and crew. Flights cannot proceed when weather conditions do not meet the applicable safety requirements. This decision is a precautionary measure to ensure that air travel is conducted under safe conditions.

The Wings Air and Batik Air flights cancelled on 14 October 2026 are as follows:

• Wings Air IW 1147, Luwuk–Palu, scheduled to depart from Luwuk at 12:10 local time.
