This route provides easier access between two regions that have long maintained close ties through a wide range of activities. Many Lampung residents travel to Bandung for business, education, healthcare, government-related activities, tourism and family visits. Meanwhile, Lampung is a key destination for West Java residents seeking investment and trade opportunities, business development, and a variety of natural, cultural and culinary attractions.

For business travellers, the direct service offers greater time efficiency, enabling business meetings, network development and trade activities to be conducted more effectively. This connectivity also supports the smooth distribution of time-sensitive logistics while strengthening economic ties between southern Sumatra and West Java.

In the tourism sector, the route makes it easier for travellers from Bandung to explore Lampung’s leading destinations, including Pahawang Island, Kiluan Bay, Way Kambas National Park and various other natural and cultural attractions. Conversely, Lampung residents now have direct access to Bandung, widely known as a favourite destination for shopping, culinary experiences, nature tourism, sporting events and creative activities.

This improved accessibility is expected to benefit business travel, education, healthcare services and family visits.

As the first city in Sumatra to regain a direct air service to Husein Sastranegara Airport in Bandung, Lampung is expected to mark the beginning of an expanding connectivity network linking Bandung with other regions. This initiative also strengthens the role of both airports in supporting public mobility and regional economic growth.

Wings Air operates the Radin Inten II International Airport, Lampung (TKG)–Husein Sastranegara Airport, Bandung (BDO) route using an ATR 72 aircraft configured with 72 economy-class seats. This modern turboprop aircraft is designed to serve point-to-point regional flights while prioritising safety, comfort and security.

For a more convenient travel experience, passengers can use the BookCabin app. Through a single application, passengers can book tickets, check in online, manage their travel needs and access various available services and special offers.
