S U R A B A Y A, July 1, 2026 – Lion Air has commenced its Umrah pilgrimage services by offering eight weekly non-stop flights from Juanda International Airport, Surabaya (SUB) to King Abdulaziz International Airport, Jeddah (JED), Saudi Arabia.

The expanded service provides greater flexibility for pilgrims in selecting departure schedules that best suit their travel plans, while also enabling Umrah travel agencies to offer a wider range of pilgrimage packages. All flights are operated using wide-body Airbus A330 aircraft, accommodating up to 436 Economy Class passengers, specifically designed to ensure comfort on long-haul journeys.

Surabaya serves as one of Indonesia's primary gateways for Umrah travel. In addition to serving passengers from Surabaya and its surrounding areas, these flights also cater to pilgrims from across East Java, including Sidoarjo, Gresik, Mojokerto, Pasuruan, Probolinggo, Lumajang, Jember, Banyuwangi, Bondowoso, Situbondo, Malang, Kediri, Blitar, Madiun, Bojonegoro, Tuban, Lamongan, Madura, and other regions connected through Juanda International Airport.
