To Ensure a Comfortable and Safe Journey, Here Is the Air Travel Guide for Pregnant Passengers

Dec 31, 2025, 23:14 PM by Lion Air Public Relations

This guide helps ensure that passengers are truly fit to travel by air, taking into account gestational age, health condition, and previous pregnancy history.

J A K A R T A, 22 December 2025 – Traveling during pregnancy certainly requires extra attention. Lion Group understands that every expectant mother wishes to travel safely, comfortably, and with peace of mind—whether for family matters, work, or other needs.

As part of Lion Group’s commitment to passenger safety and comfort, these provisions are implemented uniformly (applicable to all) at all airports for Lion Group departures. The guidelines are prepared based on mandatory considerations that must be stated (included) in a doctor’s letter, namely:

  • gestational age, and
  • pregnancy condition, and
  • a statement confirming that the pregnant passenger is truly fit/healthy to undertake air travel (fitness for air travel) by aircraft.
