Lion Group continues to strengthen its commitment to grow alongside its customers, enhance service quality, and expand connectivity to and from Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, and various other international destinations.

SINGAPORE, October 28, 2025 — Lion Group announced that all its airlines operating in Singapore — Batik Air (flight code ID), Batik Air Malaysia (flight code OD), and Thai Lion Air (flight code SL) — will begin operations at Terminal 4 (T4) of Changi International Airport starting November 11, 2025. This relocation is part of Lion Group’s strategic initiative to enhance the customer experience and meet the growing demand for air travel across Southeast Asia.

Terminal 4 is designed with advanced automation technology for every stage of the journey — from check-in and baggage handling to immigration and boarding. With a capacity of up to 16 million passengers per year, T4 provides a faster, more practical, and comfortable travel experience for all Lion Group customers.
To support smooth inter-terminal mobility, the shuttle bus service will be enhanced, with arrivals every five minutes starting November 2025. This improvement will make it more convenient for passengers traveling to and from Terminal 4 via MRT, with shorter waiting times.

The relocation of Lion Group operations to Terminal 4 at Changi Singapore in November 2025 provides significant benefits for Indonesian travelers — whether for business, leisure, education, or family visits. As one of the most popular destinations for Lion Group passengers, improving access to Singapore remains a top priority for Batik Air (ID).

Batik Air (flight code ID) connects travelers from various regions to Singapore through three main hubs:

  • Jakarta (CGK) → Connecting to more than 40 cities across Indonesia

  • Medan Kualanamu (KNO) → Connecting to more than 20 cities in western Indonesia

  • Bali (DPS) → Connecting to over 30 business and leisure destinations

This strong connectivity allows travelers from Sumatra, Java, Kalimantan, Bali, Nusa Tenggara, Sulawesi, and Papua to reach Singapore more easily and efficiently — without having to transit in another country. This policy direction enhances travel convenience for Indonesian tourists and business travelers who consider Singapore one of Asia’s top destinations.

To support a more practical and modern travel experience, all passengers can conveniently book flights, accommodations, and check-in online through the BookCabin app. The app simplifies travel planning and reflects Lion Group’s commitment to providing travel solutions that match the mobility needs of today’s travelers.

Lion Group’s Position at Changi Strengthens Further

Currently, Lion Group operates 88 flights per week from Singapore, connecting to:

  • Indonesia → Jakarta, Denpasar, Medan

  • Malaysia → Kuala Lumpur

  • Thailand → Bangkok

With the move to T4, both capacity and service quality will increase, supporting Lion Group’s long-term network growth across Asia.

Changi Airport Group (CAG) and Lion Group are preparing to implement FAST (Fast and Seamless Travel) to support integrated automated services for Batik Air (ID), Batik Air (OD), and Thai Lion Air (SL) passengers. Gradual operational testing is being conducted to ensure a smooth transition without disrupting passenger comfort.

In Malaysia, this step is an important milestone in Lion Group’s readiness for network expansion in Singapore, including plans to open new routes from Singapore to Ipoh, Penang, and Subang, providing travelers with more options to Malaysia and onward connections to over 63 international destinations via Kuala Lumpur.

By moving operations to Terminal 4, Lion Group reinforces its commitment to continuously grow with its customers, enhance service quality, and expand connectivity to and from Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, and other international networks.
