S O L O, July 6, 2025 — Lion Air is launching a direct flight service for Umrah pilgrims from Adi Soemarmo International Airport, Solo (SOC) to King Abdulaziz International Airport, Jeddah (JED), Saudi Arabia. The inaugural flight is scheduled for Saturday, July 12, 2025, and will operate once a week, offering a 9-day Umrah program.

This route aims to provide easier access to Umrah services for residents of Central Java, Yogyakarta, and surrounding areas, eliminating the need to travel to other cities for departure. Lion Air operates this flight using modern-generation wide-body aircraft equipped with comprehensive amenities and cabin designs optimized for long-haul comfort.

Facilities provided for each Umrah pilgrim:

• 30 kg free checked baggage
• 7 kg cabin baggage
• 5 liters of zamzam water upon return from Saudi Arabia

Umrah Flight Schedule Solo – Jeddah

• Departure: Flight JT-116 departs Solo at 09:45 AM (WIB), arriving in Jeddah at 4:30 PM local time
• Return: Flight JT-117 departs Jeddah at 6:20 PM local time, arriving back in Solo at 09:05 AM (WIB) the following day

This flight is operated using a wide-body Airbus A330 aircraft with a capacity of up to 433 economy class seats, specifically designed to provide optimal comfort for long-distance travel.

Travel Advisory for Umrah Pilgrims Lion Air reminds all pilgrims to observe the following guidelines for a smooth and safe journey:

• Valuables such as passports, money, and important documents must be kept in carry-on luggage, not in checked baggage.
• Power banks are only allowed in carry-on luggage, with a maximum capacity of 100–160 Wh, and must not be used during the flight.
• Carrying dangerous items such as sharp objects, liquids over 100 ml in the cabin, and flammable materials is strictly prohibited.
• All suitcases and bags should be labeled with the pilgrim’s name and contact number for easier identification.

Lion Air also urges prospective pilgrims to make reservations and consultations exclusively through official Umrah travel agencies partnered with Lion Air. This is essential to avoid fraud and to ensure a safe and smooth religious travel experience.
