JAKARTA, July 3, 2025 – In preparation for the upcoming Umrah season of 1447 Hijri / 2025, Lion Air is offering special services for pilgrims, including 30 kg of free checked baggage, 5 liters of Zamzam water, and 7 kg of cabin baggage. These facilities aim to ease the journey for pilgrims by allowing them to bring essential worship items and personal belongings, ensuring comfort throughout the pilgrimage.

What Should Umrah Pilgrims Pay Attention To?

To ensure a safe, comfortable, and compliant international flight experience, Lion Air reminds all Umrah pilgrims to observe the following baggage-related guideline

1. Do Not Store Valuables in Checked Baggage

Valuables such as cash, jewelry, important documents (passport, tickets, visa), and electronic devices must be carried in cabin baggage.

2. Power Banks Are Not Allowed in Checked Baggage

Power banks are only allowed in cabin baggage. Ensure the power bank’s capacity complies with airline regulations. The permitted specifications are:

✅ Up to 100 Wh (equivalent to 20,000 mAh): Allowed without special approval.

✅ Between 100 Wh (20,000 mAh) and 160 Wh (32,000 mAh):

oMaximum of 2 units per passenger with a combined total not exceeding 160 Wh.

oMust be in good condition, not damaged, and clearly labeled.

oMust not be used or connected to devices during the flight.

oMust remain under the owner's supervision.

🚫 Above 160 Wh: Not permitted on the aircraft.

3. Prohibited Items for Safety Reasons

To ensure flight safety, passengers are prohibited from carrying hazardous items, including:

Sharp objects (scissors, pocket knives)

Liquids over 100 ml in the cabin

Aerosols, pressurized gases, flammable materials

Chemicals, corrosive substances, firearms

Lighters and any type of explosives

4. Ensure All Baggage is Labeled

All suitcases or bags should be clearly labeled with the pilgrim’s name and contact number for easy identification and to prevent loss.
