KENDARI, June 1, 2025 – Lion Air continues to expand air connectivity across regions by announcing a new direct flight route between Kendari and Yogyakarta with no transit. This route becomes a new air bridge connecting two important cities in western and central Indonesia, opening broader opportunities for the public, business actors, the education sector, and the development of local tourism.

The non-stop flight from Kendari to Yogyakarta and vice versa is seen as a tangible step by Lion Air to strengthen inter-provincial connectivity. Kendari, as the gateway to Southeast Sulawesi, now has direct access to Yogyakarta, a center of culture, education, and creative economy in Java.
