A Concrete Commitment: Lion Air Eases Hajj Travel from Various Regions for the Indonesian Public
JAKARTA, May 10, 2025 — Lion Air once again demonstrates its role as a responsive and proactive airline committed to serving the public, shown through its full support for the 1446H/2025M Hajj pilgrimage. Through the Embarkasi Haji Antara (EHA - Intermediate Hajj Embarkation) and Feeder Hajj services, Lion Air operates a total of 62 flights, transporting 10,329 pilgrims from various regions across Indonesia.
In implementation, Lion Air utilizes Boeing 737-900ER (215 economy class seats) and Boeing 737-800NG (189 economy class seats) aircraft that have undergone thorough inspections and routine maintenance, ensuring all aircraft are airworthy and comply with international civil aviation safety standards.
Lion Air's service focus is directed at supporting the comfort of elderly pilgrims and those with disabilities, aligning with this year’s Hajj theme of inclusivity and service accessibility.
The Embarkasi Haji Antara (EHA) and Feeder Hajj flights are designed to ease access for communities in various regions to reach major embarkation points such as Padang, Batam, Makassar, Balikpapan, and Palu. This scheme addresses the need for timely service and enhances the mobility experience of pilgrims.
Through this active role, Lion Air proves that reliable and quality service can be delivered tangibly. Despite facing various perceptions over time, Lion Air continues to improve and remains committed to making real contributions to the people, the nation, and the country—especially during the crucial time of the Hajj pilgrimage.
Lion Air expresses its gratitude for the trust given and urges all pilgrims to maintain complete documentation, be punctual, and follow all directions from the staff to ensure a safe, comfortable, and smooth journey to the Holy Land.
