Flight Updates: MANDATORY Passenger Requirements on Lion Air Group Domestic Air Travel Period: August 15, 2022 – Further Notice Last Updated August 15, 2022 | 2:00 p.m.

J A K A R T A – August 15, 2022. Lion Air (JT flight code), Wings Air (IW flight code), and Batik Air (ID flight code) members of Lion Air Group convey the latest information regarding the terms and conditions required for each prospective passenger who will travel domestic air travel (flights) during the Corona Virus Disease 2019 (Covid-19) pandemic alert period, valid period: August 15, 2022, until further notice (until further notice / UFN).

Age 18 years and over

a) The third vaccine (booster) does not need to show a negative Covid-19 screening result

b) The second and first vaccines must show a negative result of the 3x24 hour RT-PCR test

c) Not/has not been vaccinated for medical reasons must show a doctor's certificate from a government hospital and a negative result of the 3x24 hour RT-PCR test 

 

Age 6-17 years old

a) The Second Vaccine must show a second dose of vaccine card/certificate without showing a negative Covid-19 screening result

b) The first vaccine must show a negative result of the 1x24 hour Antigen test/ 3x24 hour RT-PCR

c) Not/has not been vaccinated for medical reasons must show a doctor's certificate from a government hospital and negative results of 1x24 hour Antigen test/ 3x24 hour RT-PCR

d) Travel from abroad that not vaccinated must show a negative result of the 1x24 hour Antigen test/ 3x24 hour RT-PCR 

 

Age under six years old

It is not mandatory to vaccinate and is not required to show a negative result of the Rapid Antigen Test or RT-PCR, but there must be a companion who meets the travel requirements.

Lion Air Group constantly implements the provisions imposed to support government programs during the Covid-19 pandemic alert period.

The entire implementation of Lion Air Group flight operations continues to prioritize safety and security and has out according to strict health protocol guidelines.

In carrying out operations, Lion Air Group ensures the health condition of aircraft personnel and ground service officers (ground staff) on duty in conditions that meet health qualifications.

During the enactment of Circular Letter Number 77 of 2022, the determination of the carrying capacity (load factor) of aircraft can carry out 100%.

The improvement of cleaning and sterilization activities for Lion Air Group aircraft regularly using the Aircraft Exterior and Interior Cleaning (AEIC) method is carried out at the Batam Aero Technic (BAT) aircraft maintenance center and various airport bases (base stations).

All Lion Air fleets have equipped with High-Efficiency Particulate Air (HEPA) filters or powerful particle filtering. The HEPA filter helps keep the air in the cabin clean and filters more than 99.9% of viruses, germs, insects, and bacteria. The aerial in the aircraft cabin is updated every 2-3 minutes, so it is fresher. The air cycle from the toilet (lavatory) and a kitchen (galley) directly flowed outside the aircraft.

 

Air Travel Advisory

1. Prepare and fulfill health documents according to applicable requirements.

2. Arrive early at the departure airport to minimize queues.

3. Inform the officer on the ground if he is pregnant, sick, or has exclusive conditions that may endanger himself and interfere with the comfort of other passengers while traveling.

4. Download Lion Air mobile apps and Batik Air by utilizing the online check-in feature.

a) For passengers without bringing checked baggage, they can go directly to the waiting room.

b) For passengers with checked baggage, required to report to the Lion Air Group check-in counter for online check-in passengers.

5. For the convenience of passengers, the check-in officer will weigh the baggage at the check-in counter to determine whether the baggage meets the requirements. If the passenger exceeds the conditions, the passenger is charged an additional fee according to Lion Air Group rules so that the luggage can carry as checked baggage.  

6. Passengers are not allowed to carry dangerous goods.

7. When at the check-in counter, please ensure the baggage is specially marked (labeled/marked) according to the flight data and the correct destination. The baggage receipt number and checked baggage must be the same.

8. Please pay attention to the following conditions:

a) The check-in counter closes 30 minutes before departure

b) The waiting room system closes 10 minutes before departure

9. All flight crew and passengers were required to wear a mask and maintain cleanliness on the aircraft. In addition, prepare a spare mask and hand sanitizer.

 

Use of mobile phones and other electronic devices, namely:

1. It is forbidden to bring electronic devices that emit steam or fumes.

2. It is forbidden to bring laptops of Apple products type MacBook Pro 15 inches produced in 2015, which were marketed from September 2015 to February 2017 as checked baggage and cargo. The 2015 MacBook Pro (Retina 15-Inch) product has marketed period September 2015 to February 2017.

3. According to the rules, the battery charger (power bank) has a capacity of:

a. a maximum of 100 Wh or 20,000 mAh may only be brought into the cabin and prohibited from entering checked/checked baggage.

b. 100-160 Wh or 20,000-32,000 mAh must approve by Lion Air Group.

c. more than 160 Wh is prohibited enter the aircraft.

4. Not used during the aircraft takeoff, landing, or moving on the parking takeoff (apron), taxiway, and runway.

5. Not used in aisles, emergency window seats, and exit on board.

6. Do not cause damage to facilities or cause injury to yourself, other passengers, and crew on duty on the plane.

7. Does not interfere with the comfort of other passengers, for example: blocking the sitting distance at the front of the seat.
