MAKASSAR – April 1, 2022. Lion Air (flight code JT) member of Lion Air Group, will soon open a new route for scheduled direct passenger flights from Makassar via Sultan Hasanuddin International Airport, Maros, South Sulawesi (UPG) to General Ahmad Yani International Airport, Semarang, Central Java (WRS). The maiden flight has scheduled to start on April 14, 2022.

One-way special ticket fares on the Makassar to Semarang route start from Rp. 1,058,300. For the price of a one-time flight ticket from Semarang to Makassar starting from Rp. 1,056,300.

The flight schedule will serve with flight frequency 1 (one) time a day or 7 (seven) times a week round trip (PP).

The availability of Lion Air flight schedules focuses on responding to the requests from tourists and inter-destination businesses (Makassar and Semarang) on the domestic network and an effort to increase the trend of air travel demand and restore public confidence that flying is safe.

The inaugural flight Makassar - Semarang - Makassar will run to accommodate the market demand for business travel categories, education, family, and tourist needs in line with the campaign "Let's Explore Indonesia – MAKASSAR" and "Let's Explore Indonesia - SEMARANG."

On this inaugural flight, Lion Air operated a Boeing 737-900 ER aircraft with a capacity of 215 economy class seats and a Boeing 737-800 Nest Generation with a holding capacity of 189 economy class seats. Both fleets of this new generation have equipped with the latest cabin interior. This technology provides an advantage for passengers because they will welcome a fresher, warmer, and fun cabin feel.

The entire Lion Air fleet has equipped with a High-Efficiency Particulate Air (HEPA) filter or strong particle filtration. HEPA filters help maintain the cleanliness of the air in the cabin and filter out more than 99.9% of viruses, germs, insects, and bacteria. The air inside the aircraft cabin is updated every 2-3 minutes, making it fresher. The air cycle from the toilet (lavatory) and kitchen (galley) has directly flowed outside the plane.

Increased activity of cleanliness and sterilization of aircraft Lion Air Group periodically with methods Aircraft Exterior and Interior Cleaning (AEIC) run in the center of the aircraft maintenance Batam Aero Technic (BAT) and in a variety of base airports (base station) where the Lion Air Group has located.
