The new route of Semarang - Ketapang - Semarang has expected to support economic recovery in various sectors. In regional development according to government programs. That will accommodate the needs of the business travel, education, family, and tourism categories market in line with the camps "Let's Explore Indonesia - SEMARANG" and "Let's Explore Indonesia - KETAPANG."

Wings Air is optimistic that the operation has expected to accommodate the demand of the air freight market in both regions, thus further increasing the interest of people traveling by plane directly (point to point).

The value of this new route will have an impact. The travel time between the two cities is relatively short, closer distances and convenient for passengers to continue their journey to other cities more and more widely.

Through General Ahmad Yani International Airport, Semarang (SRG), Lion Air Group offers flight options that will provide opportunities for passengers to continue air travel directly and connect to Pangkalan Bun, Sampit, Jakarta, Surabaya, Denpasar, Labuan Bajo, Waingapu, Kupang, Banjarmasin, Balikpapan, Berau, Tarakan, Makassar and other cities.

Connections from Rahadi Oesman Airport can be connected to Pontianak, Sintang, Putussibau and can continue flights to Jakarta, Surabaya, Batam, Medan, and other cities.

Wings Air expressed its gratitude for the cooperation and coordination from internal, central, and local governments, regulators, Angkasa Pura I airport manager: General Ahmad Yani International Airport, Rahadi Oesman Airport manager, AirNav Indonesia air traffic controller, and various other related parties in aviation operational cooperation. Hopefully, the synergy can support aviation services so that Wings Air can reach and serve air transportation in both regions (Semarang and Ketapang).

Flying is Safe, Healthy, and Fun

All flight operations and services are carried out according to applicable provisions, meeting aspects that meet safety, security, and health protocol guidelines.

Wings Air has prepared a fleet of ATR 72-500 or ATR 72-600 propeller types for this flight. Both offer a seating capacity of 72 economy class, 2-2 configuration or layout.

The aircraft has the advantage of offering the latest experience for passengers (business people and tourists). ATR 72 is a technologically advanced aircraft with a level of comfort more felt during the flight because it is equipped with an interior designed more futuristic, can relax when in the cabin, can work or enjoy the journey by looking at the scenery because the plane can fly low.

Fresh air quality is continuously supplied with a high level of cabin air volume renewal so that the air cycle is guaranteed to be clean. The airflow from above (the cabin ceiling) moves one way down (the floor), which minimizes the movement of air forward and backward direction in the cabin (blown transversally and vertically). Air will be sucked into the floor area through the panel (floor panel level) according to the process of the pressure outflow valves operation.

Approximately 95 cubic meters of air volume in the cabin will constantly update within 5 to 7 minutes. That is making sure that the air in the cabin was always fresh.

Wings Air maximizes various steps to prevent the spread of Covid-19, including regulating the process of entering and leaving passengers from the aircraft sequentially to minimize overcrowding. On ATR aircraft, ascend and descend from the rear door. That will minimizes face-to-face interactions between passengers. The kitchen area (galley) located at the rear too minimizes face-to-face interaction between passengers and cabin crew.

Wings Air has also increased the sterilization phase of the entire fleet. The aircraft cleaning process has to carry out by a team of technicians and aircraft interior exterior cleaning (AIEC), including Aircraft Interior Cleaning (cleaning the inside of the aircraft) and Aircraft Exterior Cleaning (cleaning the outside of the fleet).
