TANJUNG KARANG - December 21, 2020. Lion Air (flight code JT), member of Lion Air Group, provides the latest information regarding the handled of Lion Air flight JT-173 (20/12). The implementation of aircraft evacuation (position change) was smoothly running and had been carrying out today (21.12) duration of the work started from 10.30 - 10.40 local time (West Indonesia Time, GMT + 07).

The PK-LGP registration Boeing 737-900ER aircraft is already on the apron at Radin Inten II Airport, Tanjung Karang, Lampung (TKG).

The evacuation process is carried out based on structured planning, coordination, and cooperation with Lion Air's internal team, local airport managers, regulators, and other relevant agencies.

Lion Air would like to express its deepest gratitude and appreciation to all parties who have cooperated well in the process of moving the aircraft.

Lion Air coordinated and submitted the investigation process for the JT-173 flight incident to the National Transportation Safety Committee (KNKT) and the Directorate of Aircraft Airworthiness and Operation (DKPPU) of the Ministry of Transportation, as well as various related parties, for later recommendations to Lion Air.

Lion Air will minimize the impact that arises so that the operations and other Lion Air flight services do not disrupt.
