B A N D U N G - September 7, 2020. Lion Air (JT Flight Code) member of Lion Air Group provides the latest information on returning to serve domestic scheduled passenger flights to and from Bandung through Husein Sastranegara International Airport (BDO).

For the initial stage, Lion Air plans to re-operate 6 (six) daily return flight frequencies (PP) in Bandung, serving 3 (three) domestic destinations, consisting of:

• Palembang – Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II International Airport, South Sumatra (PLM),
• Pekanbaru – Sultan Syarif Kasim II International Airport, Bukit Raya, Riau (PKU),
• Banjarmasin – Syamsudin Noor International Airport, Banjarbaru, South Kalimantan (BDJ).

The opening of the new route is a continuation of Lion Air's re-operation which has been running since (20/08), consisting of:

• Medan – Kualanamu International Airport, Deli Serdang, North Sumatra (KNO),
• Denpasar – I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport, Badung, Bali (DPS),
• Balikpapan – Sultan Aji Muhammad Sulaiman Sepinggan International Airport, East Kalimantan (BPN),
• Makassar – Sultan Hasanuddin International Airport, Maros, South Sulawesi (UPG).

The availability of flight schedules on this route is part of Lion Air in increasing interest in traveling by airplane (traveling), accommodating passenger needs, supporting regional economic recovery, and supporting the expansion of the national tourism sector.

Hopefully, with the operation of the re-operate route, all Lion Air passenger will have the option of direct or connecting using the available departure time, so that the inter-destination can be reached in a relatively short time, comfortable, safe, effective, and affordable.

So, Lion Air will have 7 (seven) destinations in Bandung, expected to provide benefits for each passenger, to be able to continue air travel to other interconnected cities with Lion Air Group (Lion Air, Wings Air and Batik Air) including Takengon Meulaboh, Padang Sidempuan, Sibolga, Silangit, Simeulue, Takengon, Banda Aceh, Tanjung Pinang, Anambas, Dumai, Jambi, Batam, Kerinci, Muara Bungo , Natuna, Padang, Bengkulu, Tanjung Karang-Lampung, Lubuk Linggau, Pangkalpinang, Tanjung Pandan, Sumenep, Banyuwangi, Bima, Ende, Kupang, Labuan Bajo, Maumere, Tambolaka, Waingapu, Alor, Rote, Putusibau, Ketapang, Sintang, Batulicin, Kotabaru, Palangkaraya, Berau, Malinau, Mamuju, Tanjung Selor, Tarakan, Bau-Bau, Bima, Kendari, Kolaka, Luwuk, Morowali, Palopo, Tana Toraja, Poso, Raha, Selayar, Wangi-wangi, Ambon, Gorontalo, Jayapura, Kendari, Luwuk, Manokwari, Merauke, Palu, Samarinda, Sorong, Ternate and other destinations.

Lion Air would like to thank for the good cooperation and coordination from regulators, airport managers, air traffic controllers, all Lion Air employees with related parties so that lion air operating plan from Pekanbaru, Palembang, and Banjarmasin to Bandung can be carried out properly to provide the best service.

In accommodating these flights, Lion Air is preparing a new generation Boeing 737-800NG fleet with a capacity of 189 economy class.

This is Lion Air's seriousness to ensuring the health and safety of passengers, flight crew, technicians, ground handling officers, and other related employees, in carrying out flight operations which prioritizes safety as well as efforts to prevent Covid-19 spreading.

The improvement of the aircraft cleaning activities of Lion Air Group periodically with the Aircraft Exterior and Interior Cleaning (AEIC) method is run at the maintenance center of Batam Aero Technic (BAT) and in various base stations where the Lion Air aircraft is located.

For the implementation of flight operations, each passenger must follow the recommendations of health Protocol guidelines.

In-flight Entertainment

To provide the best service to all passengers, in adapting the new normal era, to providing comfort during the flight for the passengers through in-flight entertainment in aircraft types of Boeing 737-800NG and Boeing 737-900ER.

An easy way to access Lion Air Entertainment, first, change the phone's settings to airplane mode or airplane mode. Secondly, change in the WiFi connection on the phone and select "Lion Entertainment" in Lion Air. After successful, you can enjoy the inflight entertainment Lion Air Group.

All passengers can enjoy it for "free" without having to spend additional fees (extra). This entertainment is connected via wireless inflight Entertainment (W-IFE) from AirFi (PT Dua Surya Dinamika) accessed from all smartphones, tablets, laptops with the operating system software that manages resources such as iOS, Android, Windows, BBM, Linux, and others.

Passengers will be pampered through available content such as various movies, playing games, reading magazines, and much more. For this period, the most interesting thing was watching films for free from genres such as Indonesia, Hollywood, and Korean films.

Passengers can enjoy entertainment comfortably and securely through in-flight entertainment that can be accessed through their gadgets. It was an attempt by Lion Air to prevent the spread of Covid-19.
