Lion Air Explanation on Handling Number of Passenger and Distance Management in Aircraft Cabin On the example flight JT-635 from Bengkulu to Soekarno-Hatta, Tangerang and flight JT-554 Soekarno-Hatta to Yogyakarta Kulonprogo.

B E N G K U L U - August 03, 2020. Lion Air (JT code Flight) member of Lion Air Group provides an explanation to the handling of passengers, that continues to implement the guidelines for the prevention of Corona Virus Disease 2019 (Covid-19) during the Covid-19 pandemic alert.

Lion Air conveyed to the public and passengers of Lion Air, that:

1. All crew and passengers who entering the aircraft cabin has carried out the Rapid Test Covid-19 or PCR/Swab with non-reactive or negative results. In this case, the people are considered healthy and safe for flight,

2. All the crew and passengers before entering the aircraft cabin, have been conducting medical checks and carrying health documents provided by the relevant authorities,

Passengers who pass during check-in are persons who have fulfilled their health and document conditions are valid,

3. Flight crew health checks are still carried out before the flight (pre-flight health check), to determine healthy and flight worthy conditions (safe for flight),

4. Aircraft operated with High-Efficiency Particulate Air (HEPA) filters or filtering strong particles with a level of 99.9 +% eliminating particles such as viruses, bacteria, and fungi, to make air circulation in the cabin well maintained. All aircraft before and after flying are carried out disinfecting every day, to ensure aircraft sterilization and cleanliness,

5. Related to the passenger capacity of Lion Air aircraft that is given a limit in the amount transported, then certain passengers will have to sit side by side (side by side and no distance),

a. This is unavoidable but as a flight operator, Lion Air has arranged placement on seat arrangement for passengers to minimize impact,

b. For a group of passengers that referred at the flight is a group trip from a specific family or group booking that wants in one flight by sitting adjacent (one line) or a passenger's category PCR/Swab negative result.

For example, Lion Air flight JT-635 on Monday (03/08) serving from Fatmawati Soekarno Airport (BKS) to Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, Tangerang (CGK) carries 203 passengers with aircraft of Boeing 737-900ER (215 capacity of economy class seats). Lion Air departs at schedule 12.00 WIB.

On flights JT-554 from Soekarno-Hatta International Airport (CGK) to Yogyakarta Kulonprogo International Airport (YIA) on Friday (31/07), Lion Air operates with the Boeing 737-800NG with a capacity of 189 seats and flies 154 passengers. The plane departed on time at 14.45 WIB.

This occurs based on consideration of the following situations:

1. As explained in point 1-8 above,

2. Lion Air tries to accommodate passengers ' air travel needs (group categories, individual with normal travel, individuals flying with a sudden change of schedule or reschedule due to interest)

3. Group tours from certain families or groups (group bookings) who want in one flight, for an explanation namely:

a. On flight JT-544, there are 67 passengers in the group and family category and 87 individual passengers.

b. On flight JT-635, there are 76 passengers group and Family category and 127 individual passengers.
