T A N G E R A N G – 12 July 2020. Lion Air (JT Flight Code) and Batik Air (ID Flight Code) member of Lion Air Group conveys the information in connection with the improvement of the sterilization and hygiene procedures of jet aircraft type Airbus 320-200, Airbus 320-200NEO, Airbus 330-300 and Airbus 330- 900NEO.

In the flight implementation, Lion Air Group prioritizes operations that meet the safety aspect, safety is included in the time of caution pandemic Corona Virus Disease 2019 (Covid-19).

Lion Air Group conducts aircraft cleanliness level through the increase in air hygiene activities of Lion Air Group periodically with Aircraft Exterior and Interior Cleaning methods (AEIC) conducted in the maintenance center of Batam Aero Technic (BAT) member of Lion Air Group and at various base stations where the Lion Air Group aircraft is located.

Structured hygiene works include flight decks; galley; lavatories including doors, door handles, sinks and bins; Feeding Mat and grip; in-flight entertainment include remote control; luggage storage bin handle; overhead lighting, air ventilation and call button; seat backrest; seat covers; seatbelts; seat headrests; carpet floor; windows and window coverings; other passenger Amenities; cargo compartment and others.

Lion Air Group provides information, that the Airbus jet operated aircraft includes a modern-generation category that has a cabin air filtration system and strong particles, which are equipped with High Efficiency Particulate Air (HEPA) filters.

Good incoming and outgoing air circulation will result in more efficient cabin air deployment. HEPA filter is a system that helps to maintain the level of air hygiene in the cabin.

The device is plugged in and works using a number of filtration methods that filter more than 99.9% of the particle type in different sizes, including viruses and bacteria.

In keeping the air in the cabin clean and fresh, the air is fully updated every 2-3 minutes. Through HEPA filter that flow pattern limiting the mixing of air in the cab IE air flow from top to bottom that can reduce the spread of viruses/bacteria. For air from the toilet and the kitchen is directly streamed out of the plane.

The installed technology and various preventive actions from Lion Air Group will provide an optimistic that air travel slowly starts to return. With the expectation, passengers can restart the journey with confidence or without hesitation (resume their journeys with confidence), as there is a coordinated system designed to help keep safe from the Covid-19 pandemic.
