Jakarta, September 5, 2017 - One of the airlines under the auspices of Lion Air Group, which is Wings Air on this day, has expanded by adding new domestic routes. As of today, the airline that operates in 2003 will connect several areas such as from Jambi City through Sultan Thaha Syaifuddin Airport to Kerinci Regency via Depati Parbo Airport and return.

On the same date Wings Air also connects Ambon to Manado and also Kendari and return. Not only that, airline that operate using the propeller aircraft with turboprop engines will also connect the city of Padang to Pekanbaru and Bengkulu and open access from Bengkulu to Palembang and Jambi.

There are 7 new routes ready to be operated by Wings Air with a one-time flight schedule per day, and all destinations will be served by Wings Air using ATR 72-500 or 72-600 type aircraft with 72 seats capacity.

"The addition of several new routes will certainly make the Wings Air flight network more widespread and sharp, as an airline that serves as a feeder from a district to the City and serve short routes, the role of Wings Air will be increasingly important and become the main in connecting the customers to their respective areas, "said Andy M. Saladin, Head of Corporate Secretary & Communication Lion Air Group.

Andy added that with the addition of several new routes it is expected that many people, especially residents who live on the destination, can be helped by their mobility to travel in accordance with the route provided, which is believed to support economic growth due to the ease of efficient and effective access.

Until now Wings Air has flown to more than 100 domestic destinations throughout Indonesia and has a frequency of more than 300 flights per day by operating 52 units fleet of type ATR 72-500 and ATR 72-600.
