Synergy of National Narcotics Agency of Republic of Indonesia Together with Lion Air Group

 - Lion Air Group today signed a memorandum of understanding with the National Narcotics Board of the Republic of Indonesia on cooperation efforts in preventing, eradicating, abusing and distributing Narcotics, especially for the internal environment of Lion Air Group and its surrounding companies.

Today February 8, 2018, was also present Head of the National Narcotics Board of Commissioner General of Police Drs. Budi Waseso and Lion Air Group President Director Edward Sirait, who together signed the memorandum of understanding at Halim Perdanakusuma International Airport, East Jakarta.

"For Lion Air Group this is very important, because with this understanding it will be easier for us to prevent the abuse and distribution of drugs in our company environment," said Edward Sirait, President Director of Lion Air Group.

Edward added that previously Lion Air Group has also cultivated all layers of its employees not to deal with such illicit goods, because the company will provide strict and severe sanctions if it is proven to be indicated by using or distributing Drugs with disrespectful job dismissal.

"The regulation has also been contained in work contracts signed by employees before officially becoming part of the Lion Air Group," he explained.

With this matter Lion Air Group is fully committed to cooperate submit all legal process to National Narcotics Board Republic of Indonesia if there is indication of circulation and drug use in company environment.

As it is known that currently the total number of employees of Lion Air Group as many as 26,058 employees with total crew of aircraft from Lion Air, Batik Air, and Wings Air as much as 1721 Pilot and 3,374 Cabin crew. At every 6 months a thorough medical check up is done to ensure excellent body condition and no indication of narcotic use. Not only that, on every inaugural flight every day the entire crew is also doing health checking measures such as alcohol and blood pressure levels, to ensure the feasibility of flying in order to be maintained and ensure the safety and security of aviation for passengers.
