Jakarta, August 29, 2017 - Lion Air Group, which oversees several airlines in Indonesia such as Lion Air, Wings Air and Batik Air on Tuesday (29/8) launched a loyalty program for Malaysian citizens who are studying in Indonesia. This is done as a form of commemorating 60 years diplomatic relations between the Republic of Indonesia and Malaysia.

With this, directly Malaysian students in Indonesia will get special rates in using air transport facilities using Lion Air Group airlines such as Lion Air, Wings Air, and Batik Air for domestic travel in Indonesia.

"This is a form of respect for Lion Air Group as an Indonesian airline in welcoming the 60th anniversary of bilateral cooperation between Indonesia and Malaysia. This is done to facilitate Malaysian students to enjoy the beauty of Indonesia's natural and cultural diversity from Sabang to Merauke where the routes are already owned by our airline, "said Edward Sirait, President Director of Lion Air Group.

"The Malaysian Embassy in Indonesia will provide us the names of Malaysian students residing in Indonesia to enjoy this program," he said.

Edward added that these offerings were also held to continue to foster good relations between countries in order to continue cooperation for better growth and development as the two largest countries in Southeast Asia.
