Minister of Transportation Awarded 5 Lion Air’s Cabin Crew

Jakarta, April 21, 2017 - In connection with a mother who performs the delivery process at the Lion Air flight cabin with flight number JT 972 which flies from Medan to Batam, and proceeded to Surabaya on Saturday 8 April 2017, Minister of Transportation Republic of Indonesia, Budi Karya Sumadi, summoned 5 Lion Air’s cabin crew on duty on the flight.
They are Putri Norma Yulianawati, Annisa Putri Harahap, Erhasonita, Fitria Martha, and Rima Ratna Dewi, need to be proud because of their service and contribution in helping and actively participate during the delivery process on one of the passengers so that the critical phase can be passed well and smoothly .
As it’s known, this unique incident began when Lion Air JT 972 aircraft was transiting in Batam to continue the flight to Surabaya, and during boarding process, one of the cabin crew on the back reported that there was a mother who was about to give birth. With a swift in undergoing Safety Emergency Procedure, the crew of the cabin commanded by Putri Norma immediately act and directly assist the delivery process in the plane with registration number PK-LGW.
"We would like to thank the Minister of Transportation for having given appreciation to our cabin crew. We are confident that this award will be very meaningful to them, as well as a motivation for all our cabin crew to continue to provide excellent and maximum service ", said Edward Sirait, President Director of Lion Air Group.
Edward added that, all cabin crew of Lion Air Group has passed the training how to handle emergency situation and also supplies with Safety Emergency Procedure which in this case refers to the subject of Child Birth. But the alertness, the skill, and most importantly the courage of the 5 Lion Air cabin crew at the time was incredible and worthy of awards.
