Lion Air First Operator of Boeing 737 Max-8 In Indonesia

Jakarta, July 4, 2017 - Lion Air airline under the auspices of Lion Air Group today received the arrival of its new fleet of Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, Jakarta.
The aircraft with the registration code PK-LQJ is the first Boeing 737 MAX-8 unit received by Lion Air after earlier in May 2017 Malindo Air or which will soon change its name to Batik Air Malaysia became the first airline in the world to use Boeing 737 MAX- 8.

Boeing 737 MAX 8 can fly longer without refueling for 7 hours 30 minutes. Type 737 Max 8 is the first Boeing aircraft that features double winglet. The Boeing 737 MAX 8 engine is also capable of muffling 40% of the engine sound and the passengers on this plane have the opportunity to carry more luggage.
Andy added that Lion Air Group has made reservations Boeing 737 MAX 8 as many as 218 units are planned to be delivered 8 units in this year. 3 units for Malindo Air in Malaysia and 5 units to support Lion Air operations in Indonesia.
